Some clients know exactly what they want!
Some don’t and that is ok because we can design something together.
I ask all of my clients to save photos of jewellery they like. It can be pieces I have already made, or jewellery they found on the internet by other artists that speaks to them. I’ve even had people bring me photos of flowers, landscapes, pottery, etc. Seeing photos of things you like gives me a sense of your style.
Please note that I will not copy unique designs by other artists.
When I am designing a piece of jewellery for my clients, I take into consideration their specific requests and any materials they already have, and then I provide them with 3 or 4 designs. From there, they either pick one, combine some of the designs, or we narrow down what they like and don’t like.
