Metamorphosis 47: aquamarine and diamonds in yellow gold! My client wanted a necklace that represented her daughters, both born in March. She also wanted some representation of sunshine since she always sings them, "You are my sunshine."
I took awhile to get this one done. I was really stuck on two things: 1) using two aquamarine's, one for each child, and 2) using some baguette diamonds she had. My designs just weren't coming together, so finally, I decided to try something new.
I had this beautiful cushion-cut aquamarine from @evan.grant.fine.gems that I felt called to use. Once I settled on using it, the rest of the design just fell into place!
Rays of sunshine at north and south. North is forward and the future: our children drive us forward to be the best we can for them. South is the past and the anchor: our children bring us back to centre and remind us what's important.
The two diamonds represent her daughters. They are "technically" star-set, but I'm choosing to see them as sun bursts!
